What you'll do

Choose

on your computer, tablet or cell phone

To begin, choose one of the three models for the quarter you will be printing: Focal Point, Trio, or Self-Care.

The difference between them lies in the space for notes on each day: undivided area (Focal Point model), area divided into three parts (Trio model), and area with self-care icons (Self-Care model).

For each quarter you print, you can choose a different model.

Next, select a quarter (starting in any month) and print your four pages.

What you will need

» computer, tablet or cell phone
» printer
» 4 A4 sheets per quarter

You can use plain paper, such as 75 or 90 gsm bond paper. The paper you already use daily is sufficient and makes the panel lightweight, easy to handle, and to fix to the wall.

If you prefer a firmer paper, for better print quality and a more professional result, we recommend a grammage of about 120 gsm.

⚠ Avoid glossy paper.

Map

on the table

Before joining the four dashboard pages, make initial notes on the loose pages still on the table.

Check your calendar, your organization and planning apps, emails and messages with important events and other relevant information for what you want to highlight in your daily life.

Transfer only the notes that are relevant to the theme or objective of the quarter to their respective days on the dashboard pages. Think about how to summarize them and leave the details for the apps and calendar. The dashboard is a mirror of the key points of your plans.

At this point, you can also write a title or observations at the top of the pages. If you don't have ideas now, leave the top for later. Throughout the quarter, using the dashboard will bring clarity and inspiring insights for new ideas and perspectives.

What you will use

» your notes
Consult your digital and physical planning and productivity resources, such as calendars, planners, and applications.

» additional content
Also consult other content relevant to the objective or theme of your dashboard. Think of information such as announcements, schedules, invitations, and instructions scattered among emails, message groups, downloads, and printed materials.

⚝ Filter the essentials: discard or ignore what is not relevant.

Assemble

on the table and on the wall

In this final step, you will join and fix the printed pages in the best place for total visibility and daily manual access.

What you will use

» adhesive tape
It can be common adhesive tape or simple double-sided tape for paper (without foam).

Each quarter is very light: there is no need to use strong tape or large pieces.

Other forms

Adhesive tape is a simple and quick way to fix your panel to the wall, especially if you change it every three months, but there are other options.

You can also attach it to magnetic panels, cork boards, or custom-made frames with a removable back (to change the quarter) and without glass (to be able to write on the panel).

⇆ Choose a place with immediate access.
⚠ There is no need to use strong tape.
⚠ Before assembling the panel, test your tape on the wall.

Before you begin, focus.

Check out 5 guiding questions. Don't worry about answering them precisely. Just reflect.

What change do I want in the coming months?

What should be different in your life? Identify the habits that oppose this transformation and those that accelerate it.

What action or situation makes my day easier?

Identify an action, even if it's not a habit, or a situation that creates a positive ripple effect on your day. It could be as simple as getting a good night's sleep.

What is diverting my attention?

Identify distractions and worries that tend to drain your energy and shake your focus in your daily life. Recognizing them makes it easier to deal with their triggers more effectively.

What reminds me of what matters most?

What inspires you? An image, an object, a person, a place? Print the photo. Reread the passage from the book. Keep your inspirations alive.

What will success feel like this quarter?

Visualize the emotion, not just the accomplishment. Relief? Pride? Calm? Freedom? Connect with it.

Map & Annotate

➀ information

Check the information related to your quarter.

your notes

Consult your notes in diaries, planners, apps, and other digital and physical planning and productivity resources.

other types of information

Also, check relevant content for your dashboard among your emails, chats, and printed materials. Think about various types of information. Some examples: announcements, schedules, invitations, and instructions.

summary

Select what truly matters.

Display or list only what is relevant for your next actions. Review what you have gathered and think of ways to rewrite each item as concisely as possible.

At this point, on a sheet of paper, you can sketch some notes and test abbreviations, symbols, connecting lines, and colors.

Do not use more than three colors on your board.

Annotation

Annotate the printed panel pages.

Before joining the sheets and fixing the panel to the wall, while still on a table, align the four pages in the correct order and write your first annotations, each on its respective day.

Don't worry about filling in too many days. It's natural for many to be blank initially.

After writing, align the four sheets side by side and carefully read your annotations. If you already identify relationships and patterns, take the opportunity to make additional markings.

Example

You highlighted the main points of a new project's schedule and noticed that, over the months, there are days reserved for the most important reviews with the team.

You can mark these specific days or connect them vertically. You can also create, in each month, a preparation period prior to these reviews.

And so, easily remember these events and notice associations between them and other annotations, at a glance, before starting to occupy your mind with daily demands.

Attention! The months are linear, with days and weeks displayed side by side. The days and weeks displayed on the bottom line are from the following month. You can vertically connect days from different months.

Assemble and Attach

Applying double-sided tape (recommended).

Cover the entire height of the page with the tape and only remove the protective film when overlapping.

➀ APPLICATION

Apply to the first three pages.

On the right side of the first three pages, apply a strip of tape vertically, from top to bottom, very close to the last day rectangles, without covering them. It is not necessary to apply to the fourth page.

Only remove the protective film from the tapes in the next step.

Check out the process below.

Overlap the top page's border as closely as possible with the day rectangles on the bottom page.

overlap

Align and join the pages.

Pay attention to the order of the pages! Before starting, align the four pages on the table and check the sequence of the days of the month. Make sure the order of the sheets is correct.

Next, remove the protective film from the tape applied to the first page and, carefully and attentively, overlap the left side of the second page over the tape until it is completely covered. Do not cover the rectangles.

Visual fitting is easy: observe if the space between the rectangles is similar to the space between the other rectangles of the month.

To ensure good adhesion, press the tape area a few times, sliding your fingertips firmly and continuously.

Repeat the process with the other pages: overlap the third page over the second and the fourth over the third.

Applying regular adhesive tape (Scotch tape type).

The four red rectangles in the image above indicate the areas where adhesive tape should be applied to the front of the pages.

➀ OVERLAPPING

Align and join the pages.

Pay attention to the page order! Before you begin, align the four pages on the table and check the sequence of the days of the month. Make sure the order of the sheets is correct.

Cut a square of adhesive tape (about 1 cm × 1 cm) and apply it to the top of the pages exactly at the joint between the sheets, leaving half of the tape sticking out.

Then, fold that half to the back of the pages and press the tape firmly.

Cut another square of tape and cut it in half, separating the two halves.

Stretching the sheets well and checking the alignment, apply the first half at the joint between the sheets, in the empty space between the first and second months. Press the applied tape.

Next, stretching the sheets well and checking the alignment, apply the second half at the joint between the sheets, in the empty space between the second and third months. Press the applied tape.

Cut another square of adhesive tape (about 1 cm × 1 cm) and apply it to the bottom of the pages exactly at the joint between the sheets, leaving half of the tape sticking out.

Fold that half to the back of the pages and press the tape firmly.

Tape applied to the front of the pages:

The common tape is visible on the front of the pages.

Standard adhesive tape: use small pieces.

You will also apply tape to the back, completely covering the seam of the sheets.

reinforcement on the back

Also apply tape to the back of the pages.

Turn the pages face down and apply the tape to the back of the pages, from top to bottom, covering the joint between the pages. Press the applied tape firmly by sliding your fingertips over it.

Repeat this application between the second and third pages (third page on top) and between the third and fourth pages (fourth page on top).

Mounting the assembled panel on the wall.

➀ position

Choose the location.

strategic decision

We recommend installing the board in front of or next to your work or study desk.

For collaborative boards (family or team), choose a location with daily foot traffic, such as a hallway.

The mounting location should be in frequent daily use. Do not install the board in corners, behind doors, or too high or low.

Comfort:
When considering a location to mount your board, test the distance and height in relation to your work or study position to ensure full visibility and easy manual access.

Observe the lighting and potential shadows throughout the day.

Surrounding space:
Ideally, the wall should be empty, with only the board. If there are other elements, leave at least 50 cm of clear space around it.

Do not mount the board next to posters, pictures, or decorations.

Suggestions:

Attachment

Attach to the wall.

Just regular adhesive tape (Scotch tape)

You can attach the panel to the wall using regular adhesive tape (Scotch tape). This is a simple, quick, and practical solution, and it's also easier to remove.

Each quarter is very lightweight, so there's no need to use strong tape or large pieces of tape, especially if you replace entire quarters every three months.

Test your adhesive tape:
Before testing the tape, clean the wall, removing any dust or dirt, which reduces the tape's adhesion.

With a small piece of tape, check if the tape adheres to the wall and if it's easy to remove.

Type of adhesive tape

Regular adhesive tape:
Generally easier to apply and remove, making it the most practical option for frequent use.

Double-sided tape:
Provides a more discreet finish, but is generally harder to remove.

How to attach the panel

Cut approximately 5 cm pieces of adhesive tape for each corner of the panel.

Apply the tape horizontally to each of the four corners of the panel and also in the central part, where the second and third pages meet.

If using regular adhesive tape, position the tape so that half is on the paper and half on the wall.

After application, press the tape firmly a few times to ensure good adhesion.

During attachment, keep the sheets well stretched, avoiding folds or ripples.

You are holding a process of transformation in your hands.

Congratulations on making it this far!

It takes seconds in the morning, minutes at night: be consistent and see how easy it is to make this cycle a productive and inspiring habit in your life.
